The Scottburgh Classic Car Show is operated by the Scottburgh Classic Car Club (SCCC) which was founded on 8 September 2007 by local resident, Peter Fielding. He believed that local enthusiasts wanted to enjoy their classic cars with others, but disliked having to drive all the way to Durban every month to join one of the city’s many car clubs.

Having been to all the major classic car shows both in South Africa and in the western world, he felt that there was an opportunity to stage a classic car show in the town. So, the first Scottburgh Classic Car Show was held in August 2010, organized by the SCCC at the Scottburgh Country Club.

The purpose of the Scottburgh Classic Car Show is not only to provide a fun day for classic car enthusiasts and general public, but also to raise money for local charities and public service organisations.

In 2014 the Scottburgh Classic Car Show takes place on 14th July.
